Lynn Morgan began serving as Bridge Pastor in June, upon the retirement of Ted Brelsford.  Lynn is married to Sandy Morgan, and they have five children and 6 grandchildren – all living in the area.  Lynn and Sandy are members of Faith UCC and they make their home in Hamburg.  They joined Faith in the fall of 2023, after Lynn retired as pastor of St. Matthew’s UCC  in Hamburg.  Lynn attended Canisius and Houghton Colleges where he received a B.A. in religion and philosophy.  His divinity degree (M.Div.) is from Christ the King Seminary, where he also did advanced studies in    New Testament.  Lynn has served churches in Eden, Tonawanda, Arcade and Hamburg.  In addition to parish work, he taught in the religion department of Niagara University from 1994-1998 and was also on the faculty at Christ the King (2000 – 20006) where he also did academic administration and admissions.  In addition to their children and grandchildren, Sandy and Lynn are the live-in help for their 21-pound cat, Oliver.

Church Board & Lay Leaders

The church board is the executive body of the congregation. As a part of the United Church of Christ, Faith Church has a “congregational polity.” In other words, the church receives advice, support, and assistance from the United Church of Christ, but the ultimate authority in all cases is the congregation itself as a voting body. The congregation elects members to the Church Board to attend to the ongoing business of the church. The board consists of five deacons, responsible for the spiritual life of the congregation, five trustees, who oversee fiscal matters, and the pastor.
